A Lindenwold man who raped and physically abused his two daughters over four years was sentenced to 45 years in prison Thursday, but the victims said emotional scars left behind will likely last a lifetime. The sentencing brought a close to one of Camden County's most disturbing crimes, known as the "den of horrors." Howard Gregory, 50, committed his crimes by keeping his children isolated, with little exposure to the outside world. He accomplished that through years of physical and psychological torment, regularly beating, raping, burning and cutting the girls. Gregory also tied the girls up with extension cords, spit the drug Xanax into their mouths and watched them bathe."We lived each day in horror. We lived each day in hell," said Shakira Chi, as she stood in a quiet courtroom just a few feet from Gregory, her stepfather."What I have endured by the hands of Mr. Gregory no animal should have to experience let alone any man, woman or child." Gregory's other victim, his 24-year-old biological daughter, added the abuse was something no one should ever experience, especially by their own father. "The moment I left the hands of Howard, my life began," said Felicia, who asked that her last name be withheld. Chi said she was first sexually abused by Gregory at age 9 while her family was living in Richmond, Virginia. At 14, she became pregnant with the first of her five children Gregory would father. He later started abusing Felicia when she was a teen. The girls received no help from their mother, Janet A. Robinson, who was escorted from the courtroom Thursday before the sentencing began. Robinson repeatedly attempted to talk to her daughters even though there is a no-contact order in place. "It's not true. It's not true," yelled Robinson, who pleaded guilty to witness tampering last year. In a previous report, Chi described her stepfather as a "master manipulator." He controlled every facet of their lives, putting cans on the doors to alert him if they tried to leave and nailing the WINDOWS shut. They even had to get permission to open the refrigerator. During the sentencing, Assistant Prosecutor Lauren Pratter called the crimes "horrific" and "heinous." She asked Camden County Superior Court Judge Edward McBride Jr. for a 60-year prison term, the maximum sentence allowed. "What (Gregory) did to his own children is indescribable," Pratter said. But Gregory, who legally changed his name to Seven Moon, claims the abuse allegations are a lie. He too was thrown out of court Thursday for shouting at the judge that facts in the case were inaccurate. "You, the prosecutor and my attorney are all working together to railroad me," Gregory shouted. "I'm innocent and I'm being wrongly convicted." Gregory added during his allotted time to speak that he "apologized for my family who created and caused a systematic malfunction due to perjury." "Even though you guys created a gigantic disaster in my life ... I would like Felicia and Shakira to know and fully understand that I forgive them for what they have done, also for all the internal pain I have been (through) and am still going through," Gregory said. The earliest Gregory could be released from prison is 2049. He was convicted on four counts of second-degree sexual assault, first-degree kidnapping, simple assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and third-degree terroristic threats, according to COURT RECORDS. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the fact that October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month. Personally, I believe that this epidemic should be kept in the forefront 365 days a year, as violence doesn't seize to exist outside of October!!! Anyways, this is a start. In honor of the brave women and men who decided to leave their abusive situations, I've posted this song that has given me the extra boosted needed to continually believe in myself. The most proven method of keeping vulnerable peoples vulnerable,is to convince them through calculated manipulation to have a cynical outlook on the world. These nefarious people often want you to live in a state of mistrust and fear. This is how they maintain their control!! Well I'm here to inform you that for your survival,it is essential that you lose fear of taking that leap into the brave new world!! Enjoy and peace!! I've only been taught the Mercator map in school. As a matter fact, I was never taught that there were any alternative maps. Should you find this as interesting as I did, you can read further at the link below!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE MERCATOR MAP? Africa is around 14 times larger than Greenland and yet on the map both are almost same size. Brazil is more than five times larger than Alaska, yet Alaska is larger than Brazil on the map. The map suggests that Scandinavian countries are larger than India, whereas in reality India is three times the size of all Scandinavian countries put together. While it looks like Europe is larger than North America on this map, in reality the reverse is true. Russia also isn't as large as it is depicted, with Africa larger than Russia in reality. Take a look at a map today, and you’re likely to see that North America is larger than Africa, Alaska is larger than Mexico and China is smaller than Greenland. But in reality China is four times bigger than Greenland, Africa is three times bigger than North America and Mexico is larger than Alaska. The distortion is the result of the Mercator projection, the map most commonly seen hanging in classrooms and in text books, which was created in 1596 to help sailors navigate the world. Hello my dear friends!! I hope all is well, and if not, it will be!!. I understand that it's hard to form or keep an optimistic outlook on life as we know it. You turn on the news an it seems to be despair everywhere. Personally, I watch Al Jezeera America. It keeps one up to date on global news as well. Watching news early this a.m, I just found out about Occupy Central. It's a major civil pro-democracy peaceful protest taking place in Hong Kong ( a large island that was once governed by the British, but since 1997, has been under the governance of communist China ). It appears that the people of Hong Kong are willing to go the distance for democracy...isn't that what democracy is all about? I'm sure you all are aware of the strife's in Gaza and Syria. Or how Scotland wants their independence from the U.K. Maybe you heard about how about right here on American soil in Ferguson, Missouri , where protesters of all ethnic backgrounds are taking to the streets, (peacefully of course ) in protest to the shooting of an unarmed teen by a Missouri police officer. Well my friends don't freight!! What we must understand is that we, humanity, are a part of the Universe. So being that we are, naturally the Universe affects our psyche and our spiritual evolution. We are slowly but surely approaching the age of Aquarius, leaving Picses behind!!! So to understand what is happening here, we must look at the attributes,( positive and negative ) of Aquarius. Aquarius is an air sign, though represented by water. This is because Aquarius is an giver of knowledge ( the internet ), truth -(#freeajjournalist ) , forward thinking ( technological advances ). Aquarius is also a humanitarian ie.... The United Nations,The Peace Corps, Relief for Haiti, Unicef, Save the Children. Countless other helping hands being offered by people to help others whom they have never met, some never will !! Sounds good right? Well it is!! But we must also keep in mind that Aquarius is also a rebel , who loves independence!! Expect to see more of this... but it will all pass. Once fully aligned into the Aquarian Age, then shall peace, love and harmony prevail !! Sounds confusing right? How can the age of Aquarius bring about all these great things amidst all this discord? Keep in mind, that Aquarius is also full of paradoxes..lol !! Steadfast people, things will get better...and let's just be thankful that we aren't approaching the age of Leo or Sag or...let me shut up!! Sorry Fire signs..lol, my deepest apology!! Below is a song by a group called 5th Dimension , listen and enjoy. Peace!! Who wants to be king
in this pyramid scheme Being king, is a superficial thing For we divinely know That the only king who chooses to be seen with only your third eye beam Holy whores on the screen Yet in your eyes- it is queen Who wants to be king in this pyramid scheme Third dimension you see its all about the cream Who wants to be king in this pyramid scheme Whether it's bullets across the room or needle in vein tragic beginnings- so profane Imposed shepard - guiding flock Now deposed leader Sure you keep an heater Yet who wants to be king in this pyramid scheme A myriad of power hungry souls roaming earth -no where to go taking sin to the next plateau Where will we be? - next century We never know cause there can never be a king within the pyramid scheme. Revolution - What is it? Most people associate the word with an abrupt and often time violent shift in a political paradigm...but that's not the case often. As a matter of fact, people perform revolutionary acts each day! One definition of revolution is as follows... Revolution - 3.) a sudden, complete or marked change in something. Someone may change religions when it becomes clear that this dogma no longer represents them in their quest for spiritual evolution. One may leave a job because they were refused more pay, a higher position or some recognition. A person may decide to leave an abusive relationship, or decide to walk away and severe the ties of manipulative friends. More importantly, an adult may decide to let go of the shame, pain and guilt they felt from childhood abuse. Making the choice to open up, talk about and not run from the pain any longer. These minor acts of revolution , are ones that have major positive ramifications to the person practicing it. So my friends, continue to makes the moves to better your lives and brighten your future! Rock on!!
A Georgia judge had tough words for a woman who pleaded guilty to helping her boyfriend rape and molest her two young daughters. "I don't know that I have ever said a curse word from this bench, but you may be the vilest bitch that I have ever met," Bibb County Superior Court Judge Howard Simms told Amanda Arellano on Thursday,The Macon Telegraph reported. Simms then sentenced Arellano to 30 years in prison and lifetime probation. The 29-year-old Fort Valley woman was arrested along with her boyfriend, 29-year-old Daniel Kelly Copeland, in January 2012, after Copeland's father reported them to police. Copeland's father told authorities his son had admitted to sexually abusing Arellano's two daughters, then ages 6 and 8, according to The Albany Herald. The sex acts, authorities said, took place between Sept. 1, 2011, and Jan. 18, 2012. According to Bibb County Prosecutor Nancy Scott Malcor, Copeland told police he and his girlfriend started doing drugs in September 2011, which made them "especially sexual." Arellano, the prosecutor said, would help the 8-year-old girl perform sex acts with Copeland, including sodomy and oral sex. She would also hold the girl down while Copeland had sex with her. The 6-year-old was subjected to similar abuses, including oral sex and attempted rape, authorities said. In April, Copeland pleaded guilty to rape and four counts of aggravated child molestation. As a condition of a plea agreement, Copeland was sentenced to 25 years in prisonfollowed by lifetime probation. Copeland also agreed to testify in Arellano's case. Arellano, who was scheduled to go to trial later this month, opted to plead guilty on Thursday, to a number of offenses, including rape and aggravated child molestation. During Thursday's hearing, prosecutors said Arellano confessed to participating in sex acts with Copeland and her daughters, and also admitted taking photographs of the sex acts. "I'm so sorry and I will punish myself more than you can probably ever punish me, sir," Arellano said in court Thursday, according to The Digital Journal. Simms was unmoved by Arellano's words and told her there is a "special place in hell" for people who do what she and Copeland did. Per the conditions of their plea bargains, neither Arellano or Copeland will be eligible for parole. Once they serve their entire sentences and are released on probation, they will be classified as sex offenders. It is so great, when one has found, a love
for which you will jump leaps and mounds. I doubt my love knows how deeply I feel- I admit, yes, I still have a wall. Day by day- I relish as I watch my bricks fall. For him, I will share my blood. For him , I would make of my body a raft- should it flood. Flesh of flesh- Spirit of spirit- Mind of mind. I thank God each day- and pray that he is forever mine. Of one heart- may we sail into the abyss of eternal love. Others may not understand our connection. But we over stand, as we converse our reflections. Intuitions, we read each others cue- For you are me , and I am you. "Humility is the foundation of spirituality and evolution. Take I and me out of the equation, but instead add we and us". - Shakira Z. Ch'i
Dear Grandmother, I think of you.
The genesis of all I am- And I honor you- You held me high as a child A model of the woman I wanted to become- I pray that you see me- I pray that I have made you proud So much has been taken When I found of your passing My soul was shaken at the core. The memories of your beauty are forever etched in my mind Your beauty on inside and out I look at your photo- and I see, I see me I see love I see beyond- Will you greet me at heavens door? Or will you re-enter my life in the next cycle? Will you remember me?- Cause I shall never forget you Grandmother, you were held from my life- Yet the times we spent are played over in my mind- Over and over- Moreover, you are my world- If there was no you, there would be no me On a pedestal is where you belong- Oh Glorious woman ! Please Grandmother, hear me, feel me and know that in my heart, soul, and mind- that you will always be- Beyond, yes, beyond- For Infinity This is a documentary that I watched. I found that it depicts the Palestinian struggle in an fair and unbiased nature. Please check it out!! Hello Dear friends, today I'm sharing with you a music video from the band Issues, the genre is Screamo. I know that the sound is a little abstract, but the lyrics to this song are powerful. I relate to this song on different levels. Being abused starting at age 9 by my stepfather, he up until that point was my best friend. Sexual abuse of children has reached epidemic levels!! Please help if you know of any child being abused. This is paramount so that this child does not grow to hate!! Check it out and enjoy. Peace! Who is Satan to you? Most people believe that he is some mythological being that lives in hell that has two horns, a pointed tail, and a pitchfork !! We teach our children not to believe in fairy tales, but we ourselves are guilty of the very thing that we teach our children against. Well my friends, I can tell you first hand, that Satan is very real. And he doesn't live under the earth, have two horns, or a pitchfork. As scary as it sounds, he often times blends in with the crowd!!!
I have been silent on this issue for sometime. I've watched, waited, and, prayed that nothing would escalate the Gaza Strip Conflict. I don't want my views to be misconstrued. I am not anti-Semitic, anti- Palestinian , anti- Judaism, nor anti-Muslim, I am pro-peace, I am pro-religious tolerance.... I am pro- humanity, I am anti-war. I am simply pro- God and anti-Satan!!! It has been reported that in a matter of 19 days, the Palestinian death toll has reached over 1,000 people, and the Israeli death toll is 42. Whether Jew or Gentile, Muslim or Hindu, we are human first and foremost!! Its disheartening to watch and hear all of these leaders from various religions, masquerading as beacons of light to the world, all the while justifying the abominable acts of their followers in the name of religious peace !! And then have the guile to teach that Satan is just some creature who is responsible for all the worlds ills !! No sir, you are Satan!!! If man would abide by the laws of the Universe. If man would abide by God's law, then this Satan would be powerless!!! So in effect, you cast sinful acts to the world but you have someone or something else to take the blame for your spiritual misguidance and political misdeeds!!! Are the lives of innocent children, woman, and men worth a small patch of land in the desert ? Is an Israeli child's life more valuable than a Palestinian child? Or vice versa. I have watched documentaries of Palestinian children being pursued by Israeli tanks for throwing rocks. Where is God in this equation? Where is Satan? If we wish to usher in an Utopian society, then its up to us to bring God energy to this planet. We can not sit and stay silent on injustice and senseless murder because its not happening in our country, its not happening to our children. Should satanic energy run free, it will be like a hungry beast, destroying whom ever comes into its path!! I have written an acrostic poem in hopes that you will be able to recognize Satan that may be present in your life. And dispel it from your life before he or she consumes you. One or all of this terms may apply!! Sadistic, getting pleasure from others pain Adverse ,in opposition for their personal gain Totalitarian, controlling each aspect of your existence Anti-life, will kill at will should you resist this Nefarious, to do evil for them is bliss !! "What we think, we become all that arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world"- Buddha

The energy in music is very real !! I recall listening to this artist, who I just found out died almost a year ago, her name is Chiwoniso. She was an artist that hailed from Zimbabwe and sung primarily in the Shona language. I am so saddened to find this out, I actually shed tears. May she rest in peace!! One of her songs that resonates with me the most is the song entitled "Nguva Yekufara" ( Time of Happiness ). I was allowed to check out an world music cd from my local library. When I heard this song, it instantly lifted my morose spirit. I then uploaded it to my mp3. I would lie in bed an night, listening to this song, not having a clue as to what she was saying, but feeling a little stronger with each listen. She was a very powerful woman!! I have posted audio of the song below...please take a listen and feel the powerful energy of the late , great Chiwoniso!! Now I have the translations, this is from her album entitled " Rebel Woman" it translates: The time of happiness is far more important than that of sadness Let's be happy, it's the time Let me dance, this is my time Let it be, the time of happiness Leave me to dance, it's my time Let me be happy, this is the time Let me dance, dance today Let it be, the time of happiness Leave me be to, it's my time It's time for happiness, see my brother It's time for happiness, come my love Truly it's time for happiness, come my love No matter what should happen, you are your mama's child. I just heard this song yesterday, it's from the album entitled "God,Country,or the Girl" Deluxe Edition.I brought the original cd version but I was unable to get the deluxe edition in cd format. I strongly suggest buying and downloading this album. It's a really good album!! Anywho, I've listened to this track back to back numerous times since yesterday!! Take a listen and enjoy!! I found this article to very interesting, to read where a 1%er, speaks the truth about wages Americans are and aren't being paid, touches me to say the least. Though I don't agree with everything written in the article, I do believe that economic inequality should be addressed in a fair and diplomatic manner before it is too late!! We would be unwise to think that a revolution of this magnitude could not happen in present day America. The American Revolution, War of 1812, The Civil War were wars all fought on American soil, with money (resources) being the catalyst for each. And we all heard the old saying "Those who do not learn from their past are doomed to repeat it". Nick Hanauer, internet entrepreneur, has a message for his fellow "zillionaires": the revolution is coming.
Mr Hanauer, an early investor in internet retail giant Amazon, says like many of his fellow one-percenters, he owns his own yacht, multiplehomes and private jet. He says he acquired all his wealth by seeing the potential of the internet and acting on it. Now, he writes in Politico magazine, he sees a different kind of future, and the outlook for people like him is not a bright one: If we don't do something to fix the glaring inequities in this economy, the pitchforks are going to come for us. No society can sustain this kind of rising inequality. In fact, there is no example in human history where wealth accumulated like this and the pitchforks didn't eventually come out. Do you think the US is special or different, he asks. You're wrong. No nation is immune, he says - just ask the Russian tsars or the French aristocracy. Things are going to change, he says, and when they do it will happen quickly - but it doesn't have to be this way. Mr Hanauer endorses what he calls "middle-out" economics. He advocates raising the minimum wage and endorses Seattle's recent move to raise the lowest hourly wage for an employee in the city jurisdiction to $15 (£8.80). By paying Americans a "living wage", he writes, it will relieve some of theburden on the federal government to provide programs likefood stamps, rent assistance and medical-care subsidies. That will help conservatives get their wish of trimming government spending. He concludes that while the public is starting to view the capitalist system as broken, it can still work as long as it is regulated. "It can be managed either to benefit the few in the near term or the many in the long term," he writes. "The work of democracies is to bend it to the latter." Rick Newman of Yahoo Finance thinks Mr Hanauer is getting a bit too worked up, however. "The rich ought to chill out," he writes. "While the masses may envy their wealth, there's no evidence of a revolution brewing, or even a well-behaved civil disturbance." He agrees that Mr Hanauer has identified some disturbing trends and that steps should be taken to address income inequality. "It's nearly inevitable there will be government spending cuts and, yes, tax hikes, when the government's finances become unsustainable, which could take a decade or more," he says. "When it happens, the politicians in Washington will find ways to spread the pain around, and America will muddle through." Pitchforks or muddling. It seems these are the choices. IraqSympathy for Saddam - Although Iraqi political groups continue to pressure Prime Minister Nouri Maliki to step down, replacing him will not necessarily bring change to Iraq, writes Hussain Abdul-Hussain for Now. "Whether through American military power, a la Iraq, or through popular revolts such as those in Lebanon, Syria and Egypt, the removal of dictators shakes things up," he says. He argues that democracy rarely prevails in post-dictatorial states. In hindsight, Abdul-Hussain contends that rulers like Saddam Husseinand even Mr Maliki are not anomalies, but are products of society, its ethics and expectations. In that light, he writes that the ouster and killing of Hussein did little to bring democracy or stability to the region. Abdul-Hussain argues that to create real change, solutions must be developed from the bottom up. "People who oversee solutions should have a deep understanding of the socio-economic constructs of Arab societies and an awareness of their histories," he concludes. United KingdomStanding in the face of defeat - Despite his opposition to the appointment of Jean-Claude Juncker as president of the European Commission, UK Prime Minister David Cameron has affirmed that he "will now work with him". "When we encounter setbacks, we don't throw in the towel: we redouble our resolve," Mr Cameron penned in an opinion piece for the Telegraph. "The task of reforming Europe and securing Britain's place in a reformed Europe was always going to be a long and tough campaign - and this is just one battle in that campaign." Mr Cameron had contended that rather than the European Parliament, the European Council, which is composed of elected heads of states, should have selected the candidates for the commission, as was done in the past. "There was no need to depart from that practice this time, even if the relevant treaties permitted a majority vote," he writes. "The approach I took wasn't just my position, or a Conservative position - it was, and is, a British position, shared by Labour and the Liberal Democrats." JordanJordan and the Isis threat - As the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) continues to gain control of the northern territory of Iraq and the surrounding region, Jordan's military and special operations forces have been able to stop the militant group's advance so far, writes Theodore Karasik of the Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis for Al Arabiya. "There were concerns that Isis' momentum, plus sleeper cells and admirers of the terrorist group in eastern Jordan, would help to create a back door for the fighters to slip into the country," Mr Karasik says. But in recent weeks, he writes, Jordan has increased its military strength along its borders and in Iraq. The government is also preparing a "counter-narrative campaign", with powerful domestic clerics. "These men will need to be watched carefully by all for what they say next to counter Isis' discourse," he concludes. RussiaRussian opposition to fracking - Nato head Anders Fogh Rasmussen recently said that Russia is backing anti-fracking movements throughout the continent in an attempt to reinforce its energy eminence in Europe. Keith Johnson for Foreign Policy magazine agrees, writing: It is part of Russia's broader use of soft power and covert means to complement its more overt efforts to reassert influence in Europe and keep countries there from developing alternatives to an energy addiction worth $100m [£58.5m] a day to Moscow. According to Johnson, if fracking in Europe were to increase, it could boost the continent's energy independence, weakening its reliance on Russian gas. |
