The energy in music is very real !! I recall listening to this artist, who I just found out died almost a year ago, her name is Chiwoniso. She was an artist that hailed from Zimbabwe and sung primarily in the Shona language. I am so saddened to find this out, I actually shed tears. May she rest in peace!!
One of her songs that resonates with me the most is the song entitled "Nguva Yekufara" ( Time of Happiness ). I was allowed to check out an world music cd from my local library. When I heard this song, it instantly lifted my morose spirit. I then uploaded it to my mp3. I would lie in bed an night, listening to this song, not having a clue as to what she was saying, but feeling a little stronger with each listen. She was a very powerful woman!!
